"This one's different from what I usually put out," Ervin says of the emotional track. "It's about that moment when someone comes into your life and pulls you back from loneliness. Sometimes one person can change everything.
The song opens with delicate piano tones before Kate's serene yet powerful vocal takes the lead. When Ervin joins for the chorus, the two singers blend in harmony over powerful guitar and piano arrangements and soaring leads that build throughout the track.

"Happy Home" is a breakup song with a twist of hope for reconciliation. It also marks a bold new chapter in Ervin's evolving music career. Moreover, the song was created on the spot following a flash of inspiration and is based on the raw feelings of love and grief. Ervin recalls, "I wanted to practice writing a song on demand. I decided to walk out of the hotel I was staying at and write about the first thing I saw that interested me. I saw a car pulling away with a woman in it."
The song opens with a whistling melody, accompanied by Ervin's signature acoustic guitar playing. The introduction sets the tone for the poignant vocals that soon follow. As the track progresses, the subtle emergence of drums and vibrant guitar licks adds texture and they bring a new edge to the speakers, creating a folk-rock ear-worm which will echo around your mind long after the music fades.
Known for his candid and personal songwriting, Ervin has been steadily building his reputation in the music scene since he began working with producer Aeron Z Jones in August 2022. Their partnership has resulted in a series of successful singles, including “Chase The Moon,” “Felixstowe,” “Going Nowhere,” “My Heart,” “Did I Miss It,” and “Break Me.” In October 2022, he sold out a concert in Sheringham and recorded “Carolynn” at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, later performing at The Camden Club in London.

"Felixstowe", initially conceived from an original chord progression, was inspired by the timeless chords of Neil Young's classic, "Old Man". Ervin then developed it further, creating a unique offering of relatable lyrics and
intricate musicality.
Ervin reflected on the creation of "Felixstowe" stating, "The song emerged from a very personal place. It captures the raw emotion and vulnerability that comes with the end of a relationship. The inspiration from 'Old
Man' by Neil Young helped plant the seed and it allowed me to write something that feels both familiar and new."

In all the tracks Ervin’s indie folk roots shine through. The album takes us on a journey reflecting on how he experienced the world over the last 7 years. Some songs are autobiographical and others are based on observation of the events and relationships going on around him.
We can probably all relate to the subject matter (who hasn't been through a breakup?) In this case, the breakup is caused by one of the couple cheating on the other (I promise it wasn't me!).

With its fingerpicked acoustic guitar, harmony vocals, and soaring electric guitar solos underpinned by beautifully played lap-steel (both Aeron Z Jones), it’s another excellent, powerful release from the Norfolk based singer-songwriter Ervin Munir.
Vocals and guitar were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London in October 2022. Subsequently, Ervin worked on the song in his own studio with producer Aeron Z Jones.
